A checkbox says the feature exists. It says nothing about tier limits, permission gaps, onboarding burden, or whether the implementation is credible for your buyers.

Rows copied from marketing pages carry the same visual weight as rows verified by documentation, demos, or pricing details. The implied certainty is unearned.

The matrix asks "does the competitor have this feature?" rather than "which product helps the customer complete the job more credibly?" A different question yields different decisions.

A missing compliance feature may be irrelevant in one deal and a deal-blocker in another. Without segment context, every row looks like an equal signal when very few are.
