Is the product better with multiple active users — or just possible?
Five users can use the product but one user still gets almost all the value alone. That's not yet multiplayer in a strategic sense.
If one user gets 90%+ value solo, topology is single-player
What workflow only exists when more than one role participates?
You need at least one core workflow where collaboration is not decoration. Review, approval, handoff, or shared visibility must be part of value delivery.
No multi-role workflow = no real multiplayer topology
Has onboarding changed for the team, not just the individual?
If onboarding still assumes one person can configure the whole product, the architecture hasn't shifted. Multi-player products need multi-role setup.
Single-user onboarding = single-player architecture
