PostHog is running. Mixpanel has been set up for eight months. There are twelve dashboards. And when the CEO asks “what’s our activation rate?” the answer changes depending on who’s in the room. Which analytics tools does this work with? +
PostHog is the primary tool. The audit framework applies to any event-based analytics tool — Mixpanel, Amplitude, or others. If you’re on a different platform, mention it when you book and Jake will confirm fit before the session is scheduled.
What access do you need before the session? +
Read-only access to your analytics tool is enough. You’ll share your screen during the live audit — dashboard views, event lists, funnel definitions. No raw user data or PII needs to be shared. Jake works from what you can show on screen.
How is this different from the Product Analytics cohort program? +

Product and engineering — ideally both. The audit surfaces gaps that product needs to prioritise and engineering needs to fix. The metric hierarchy you agree on only holds if both sides were in the room when it was built. 2–6 people works best.

The workshop produces a prioritised fix roadmap your engineer can execute independently. If you want ongoing implementation support — instrumentation work, dashboard builds, or an analytics operating rhythm — that’s available as a separate engagement. Ask on the booking call.
