Your Privacy Rights
This page describes how to exercise your right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and equivalent laws in other US states.
What This Means
ProductQuant does not "sell" personal information for monetary consideration in the traditional sense (i.e., exchanging data for money). However, under the CCPA/CPRA, the definition of "sale" and "sharing" is broad:
- "Sale" includes making personal information available to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.
- "Sharing" includes making personal information available to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising (i.e., showing you ads based on your activity across different websites).
Our use of analytics and audience measurement tools (PostHog, Yandex Metrica, usbrowserspeed.com) may be considered "sharing" under the CCPA/CPRA because these services receive certain technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and page interaction data) to provide their services. Similarly, our use of HubSpot, MailerLite, and other marketing tools may involve sharing data for advertising-related purposes.
Your Right to Opt Out
You have the right to direct us to not sell or share your personal information at any time. Once you opt out, we will:
- Not load any analytics, session recording, or audience measurement scripts.
- Not share your data with our analytics, marketing, or measurement partners.
- Treat your opt-out preference as a binding request under applicable law.
How to Opt Out
1. Global Privacy Control (GPC) — Automatic Opt-Out
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal (either via the Sec-GPC: 1 HTTP header or navigator.globalPrivacyControl JavaScript property), we will automatically treat this as a valid opt-out request for the sale and sharing of your personal information. No further action is needed.
GPC is supported by: Firefox, Brave, DuckDuckGo, and browser extensions for Chrome and Safari.
GPC is legally recognized as a valid opt-out mechanism in the following US states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas.
2. Opt Out via Consent Preference Center
On your first visit, our consent banner allows you to Reject All analytics and advertising/measurement categories. This acts as an opt-out of sale/sharing.
